Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the dimensions of the Instaboil 4-in-1's tank?
    The tank's dimensions are 327mm x 210mm x 210mm.
  • Do you have an aftercare service?
We are proud of our comprehensive after-care service. You can find full details on our terms and conditions page.
  • What is the capacity of the Instaboil 4-in-1 tank?
The tank holds 2.4 litres, which provides 5-6 cups of boiling water before it begins to refill and start the reheat cycle.
  • Does the Instaboil tap offer sparkling water?
Our taps do not provide sparkling water. However, we also sell a superb sparking water maker.
  • What size is the countertop cut-out for the tap?
You need a standard 35mm cut-out for the tap. Remember to keep it far enough from the backsplash to allow the 30mm lever enough space to turn anticlockwise by roughly 35 degrees.
  • What is 'WRAS Approval'?
'WRAS Approval' means a water product has undergone rigorous testing by an independent lab to confirm it meets high standards set by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS). This certification ensures the product will not contaminate public water supplies with harmful substances, tastes, or odours, and helps to uphold public health standards.
  • How long does it take to re-boil?
This depends on how much boiling water has been used. A cup takes 45-60 seconds (approx.), whereas a full tank may take several minutes.
  • What if we live in a hard water area with limescale?
Our filter is efficient in both hard and soft water areas, with a carbon block filter and a de-scaler tablet that works for limescale reduction. It is also recommended to do an anti-scale on your tap 3-4 times a year. We have a video on how to do an anti-scale procedure in the video guides (below).
  • Do you install it or do we need a plumber?
While we do not install ourselves we have a list of recommended and experienced plumbers throughout the country. However, your own plumber should be able to install the Qmpress tap. It also comes with comprehensive installation instructions.
  • How efficient is an Instaboil 4-in-1 tap when compared to a kettle?
Running costs on your Instaboil system are approximately 25c per day, in comparison to a kettle's consumption of approximately 55c (or more!) per day. Instaboil has a power consumption of 1.5 kW when boiling, and 0.8kW while on standby. A kettle uses power at a constant 3kW.
  • Where are the taps dispatched from? Are there customs charges?
Qmpress is 100% Irish owned. Everything is dispatched from our warehouse in Kerry directly to you with no additional customs charges. Our taps also ship free of charge.
  • What is the maintenance required for an Instaboil 4-in-1 tap?
The inline filter must be replaced every 6 months to maintain your two year parts warranty. Other than that there should be no additional requirement for maintenance. Filters can be purchased from our shop.
  • What is your warranty?
We offer a 2 year warranty on parts.

Q is for Quality

Qmpress stands for Quality, with an impressive range of taps and sinks.

Qmpress is Ireland's Instaboil Expert

Qmpress Ltd. is an Irish-owned company, supplying highest-quality smart-technology boiling water taps and accessories at affordable prices.

Our mission is to manufacture and supply products with exceptional quality, chic design, and safety. All our products are efficient and environmentally sustainable.

No more waiting for the kettle to boil, and no more realising that the kettle hasn't got enough water. Conveniently fill your cup or pan directly from the spout to save time and effort. Boiling hot water taps streamline your worktop and dispense either cold or boiling-hot filtered water—or cold and hot water directly from the mains water supply. Therefore you have one tap that replaces not just the kettle, but traditional kitchen taps too!

It's perfect if you desire a minimalistic, contemporary kitchen, or have limited worktop space in your kitchen.
